Finally, we have DOMINETRIS released for the ZX81 - please note however, that these are in limited supply at the moment, as I've got to source a ZX81 RAM pack before I can duplicate some more! :) We're working hard to get some of the older games reissued as well as providing some great new games for you in 2011. CRONOSOFT games are now available for Elite software's excellent iPhone/iPod/iPad etc. Speccy emulator ZX-EC app. You can buy them from the Apple iTunes store along with classics by Elite, Software Projects, Vortex software, Gremlin etc. We all love ELITE here at Cronosoft towers .. especially Bomb Jack! :)

Happy new year and all that.
Here's a new release of a game that's been around for a little while.
Sorry it's taken a while, but it's very nice looking, especially with Graz's
super dooper illustration.
Oh.. JC's been
busy, and a superb new game is on it's way.
WOS fans will no doubt have seen a
few sneaky riddles, and he assures us that he's not taken any drugs either
(except for beer). 14.12.10 - UPDATE TIME Blimey .. didn't quite realise how long it had been since I last put some stuff on here... Anyway - I'm looking forward to some exciting things for 2011, including a big push for new software, now that I'm beginning to sort the dreaded tape duplication problems, of having to manually "SAVE" every game to tape manually, which takes an absolute eternity, as well as utter chaos when a big order comes in. One by one, CD masters are being made, so each game is transferred direct to tape. It's gonna take a while to get all of the games across but once it's done, life will be so much easier.
Firstly, we're excited to announce our first ZX81 releases! 16K ZX81 owners will soon be able to look forward to a conversion of Bob Smith's Spectrum puzzler "Dominetris" (Please don't misread as Dominatrix, which is a leather clad lady with a whip that will cost a lot more than the 3 quid we'll be asking). Also 1K owners will not be left out, courtesy of Russell Marks, with a twin pack of games - Lazy Frog and T1K/Shapestack - two machine code classic games which defy the measly amount of memory required to play them. Have a peek at the Coming soon page... Jonathan Cauldwell + Graz's new game TELLY HEROES is now released for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum - hot off the presses today! (Approx. 3 minutes ago to be precise). Ever wanted to control a TV channel? Think you can do a better job than ITV? (Well.. you couldn't do a much worse one...), then try this one! If you loved games like 'Rockstar Ate My Hamster', with clever management gameplay, humorous caricatures, and some saucy humour to boot, then this one will get you hooked. Amstrad owners will be pleased to see the update and re-availability of SUDOKU. No longer do you have to endure the grotesque ramblings of the Daily Mail in order to get your fix of Sudoku. You can even play much harder versions than those you may be used to, without fear of reading that muslim asylum seeking gypsy paedophiles will eat your babies. Those of you lacking in some serious "Chopper Action", will be able to unleash their tool once again, with the reissue of the acclaimed "Hop 'n' Chop", whose package has been given a new polish by resident art guru Graz. Bob Smith's epic isometric 3D game WHB, coupled with the excellent Dominetris, is now released on cassette for the Spectrum. The long awaited MPThrilla - The Metal Miner, coupled with Redivivus is also now available. REQUEST...! If anyone has any magazine scans or website links to reviews of Cronosoft games, I'd very much like to hear from you, as I'd like to put the details on this website. You can contact me at the button on the left hand side.
As ever... please allow plenty of time for delivery if you're putting in an order, as I'm working 3 jobs at the moment!
New Release - JOE GUNN for the Commodore 64. More games added. 09.11.09 Had a bit of an update of the site today, hope there ain't any bugs. There are some more games added, a few for the Spectrum, and some for the Amstrad CPC. Thanks to everyone who has ordered games so far - At the time of writing, I'm about up to date! Thanks as always to Graz for the super new look inlays.
We're slowly but surely getting there! A few more games now added to the range.... Rob Pearmain's "Bipboi", coupled with Triumph Game Lab's "Nipik 2", and also Jonathan Cauldwell's latest epic "Slubberdegullion". If you're putting in an order, please allow quite a bit of time - especially if you're ordering several games at once. I have 1 full time and 2 part time jobs at the moment, so I don't get a chance to do as much tape duplication and printing as I'd like! Rest assured however, that I haven't forgotten about it... it'll just take a while. Some of you international buyers may wonder why the tapes cost 50p more to go to Europe and £1.00 more to go outside of Europe - well.. to keep it simple, the Paypal checkout calculates the postage for UK sales only, and the extra fee pays for the increased shipping costs for overseas transactions.
Welcome to the relauch of CRONOSOFT - the UK's premier independent software house for classic systems. For those of you that haven't heard of us, we are a non-profit software house releasing brand new games for classic systems such as the Sinclair ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and Amstrad CPC. The latest news, is that we're welcoming on board our new partner Graham Richards, who you'll remember for designing the superb artwork for many of our games, including amongst others, Gamex, Izzy Wizzy, Blitz 2000, Stranded etc.
It'll take a while to get the range adapted, so please bear with us. There are also new releases to look forward to, including the long awaited Dragon 32 and Tandy Color game "GLOVE". Also, the new cleaner look website should make ordering a bit less confusing! With the changes, the original issues of the older back catalog games are no longer available on individual cassette, though they will be available for individual download with artwork from the PRESERVATION TEAM SHOP in the near future, for use with emulators, or to "copy and print yourself". The website is still under construction, but I'm aiming to get a bit done every week till we're back at full strength. Thanks as always go to the authors of the games, our helpers and supporters, and of course you, our customers for helping to keep the 8-bit's alive. |
